The Greenbelt, a permanently protected land designation in Ontario, is under threat. Not only are greedy developers trying remove land from it, but also fighting hard to ensure that it doesn't grow to protect more of our water, farmland and green spaces. To prevent another Midhurst from happening ever again, we need to tighten the rules for how we use our land and where development is allowed to go...and not to go. We need to strengthen and grow the Greenbelt. Premier Wynne is looking for feedback from citizens like you about how we build our communities and protect these precious resources. We are working with organizations across Ontario encouraging the province to expand the Greenbelt to stop urban sprawl, protect our water resources from abuse and preserve our agricultural lands.
