Referee Lee Mason is not fit to be referee, as seen when he allowed a player to be treated on the pitch for 4 minutes, in contravention of Law 5, which states;

LAW 5 – THE REFEREE

INJURED PLAYERS - INSTRUCTIONS

- the referee shall ensure an injured player is safely removed from the field of play 

- a player is not allowed to receive treatment on the field of play

- any player bleeding from a wound must leave the field of play. He may not return until the referee is satisfied that the bleeding has stopped

a player is not permitted to wear clothing with blood on it

Lee Mason allowed a player who was bleeding, who could walk and was only two yards from the goal line, to be treated on the pitch for a full four minutes. If a referee doesn't abide by such a basic rule how can he be entrusted to safeguard the integrity of the game. We have seen referees make mistakes, and sympathise with the difficulties they face keeping up with the pace of the modern game, but it'll be difficult to convince the paying public they're honest mistakes when they behave like this. As such, I believe Lee Mason is not fit to referee to the required standard at this level and should be relieved of his duties.
