Our longed-for Hostages are set to be released, at last, after two years of living hell.
We have prayed for this day for so long, and praise God it is near! Thank you for your fidelity to this prayer circle, as it draws to a close.
The hostage release also marks a moment of fragile hope for the end of the war, for steps in peace, for the rebuilding of Gaza and the healing of whole populations who have suffered through two long years of violent conflict.
To take us through these days, we can draw on this prayer offered by the Shalom Hartman Institute, 'May It Be'.
And this beautiful rendition of “I’m Coming Home” by Eden Golan was sung live at a memorial service held in Israel for the second anniversary of October 7. She sings: “They’re coming home, coming home. Tell the world they’re coming home…”
We hold our breaths, and continue to hope and pray that the Hostages will be safely home in the coming days. May this song also be our prayer.
