Le Mile End ne compte aucune aire d'exercice canin. Les gens du quartier en sont réduits à effectuer de longs déplacements pour socialiser leurs chiens, ou encore à fréquenter des "parcs à chiens" non-officiels. Pour leur bien-être et leur sécurité, le plaisir et la santé de leurs chiens, il est souhaitable que l'arrondissement agisse rapidement.

Le terrain bordant le viaduc Van Horne, au sud de celui-ci et à l'est du parc Lhasa de Sela, semble l'endroit tout désigné pour une telle implantation. Cet espace sans réelle vocation est déjà le point de rendez-vous des propriétaires de chiens du quartier. Déjà partiellement clôturé, son réaménagement en aire d'exercice canin serait rapidement et facilement réalisable.

Cette pétition sera présentée aux autorités de la Ville de Montréal et de l'arrondissement du Plateau Mont-Royal à l'automne 2022. Merci pour votre support et votre intérêt envers ce projet.

There is unfortunately no dog park in the Mile End neighbourhood. Dog owners in the neighbourhood have no choice but to travel some distance so they can socialize their dogs or take the risk of gathering in an unofficial "dog park.” To keep the dogs of Mile End healthy, safe and happy, a quick solution is desirable.
 

The land bordering the Van Horne viaduct on the south and to the east of the Lhasa de Sela park on Clark Street is the perfect place for a dog park. This space with no real designation is already a meeting place for dogs and their owners who live in the neighborhood. Already partially fenced, its reorganization into a dog exercise area would be quickly and easily achievable.
 

This petition will be presented to the authorities of the City of Montreal and the Plateau Mont-Royal borough in the fall of 2022. Thank you for your support and your interest in this project.
