Hi, all!
Much has happened since our last update. Civil Eats published an op-ed by Venceremos co-founder, Magaly Licolli, “As Tyson Claims the Food Supply is Breaking, Its Workers Continue to Suffer;” Venceremos delivered a petition to George’s, Inc. with over 100 worker signatures, which was accepted by the company’s director of HR; Tyson has been deleting comments left by our supporters on their Facebook and LinkedIn pages, meaning our campaign is clearly getting to them; our campaign was covered on ABC News!
Our campaign is gaining traction, but workers still need your help. At many facilities, workers aren't being tested for coronavirus. When there is a positive case, workers do not receive transparent information about who may be at risk. We need more transparency at these plants to ensure workers have the important information to stay safe!
Please send the email below urging Tyson to regularly test all employees for COVID-19 AND be transparent about who tests positive.
Action: Send an email to Mary Oleksiuk, Tyson’s Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer.

Subject: Protect Your Workers
Body:
Dear Ms. Oleksiuk,
I have recently been seeing news articles about hardships that many Tyson factory workers are going through, even after Tyson assured the public that it was taking care of its workers. They are getting sick, and they are dying, because they don’t have adequate protections at their jobs. You are endangering the lives not just of your workers, but of the communities in which they live. This is simply unacceptable, and must change.
As Tyson’s Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, you have the power to right this wrong and live up to claims your company is making. You can do this by implementing regular COVID-19 testing of all employees across Tyson facilities and practicing full transparency about who tests positive. Your employees deserve to know if they have been exposed to the coronavirus!
We must act now to stop this disease and protect our country.
Sincerely, [NAME]
Thank you all for your continued commitment to ensure Tyson’s employees have basic protections!
