Hi Bike mates,
First of all, thanks to the recent additional petition supporters who signed up following last Thursdays Hayling Bike night, It was great to meet you and I really am beginning to think this issue is a complete no brainer. If only the powers that be used their brains then we'd all be better off!!.
Secondly, I got a call from our supportive councillor Brian Madgwick, who updated me with his plans in pursuing this at Portsmouth City Council. He told me that although he has a few priority issues that have been awaiting his attention agreement was reached that this issue has now been added to his list items to come under scrutiny. Unfortunately, his list is significant so (and I like to be honest with you all) this may mean after New Year but none the less he has secured support from a fellow biker on the council who agrees with our stance here so I'm hoping that others follow.
Finally, I wanted to share this video with you as it sets out our plight perfectly, It's from the MAG president, who some of you may already be familiar with but please watch it as it highlights what's going wrong all over the country with no logical reasoning except for prejudice against the motorcycle fraternity. I plan to share this with our supportive councillor as I think it propvides plenty of ammunition against PCC's ridiculous stance.
