The process PPS Lays out for school name change places a high bar for demonstrating community support, and past experience at other schools shows that alumni involvement is critical. if we can show hundreds and even thousands of Madison alumni support changing our school’s name, we will be more likely to win this important campaign.
Because...
if we win, we’ll be taking one big step towards breaking down systemic racism and doing away with a big microaggression: honoring a slave owner in our public school setting.
The time to do this is NOW, while millions of Americans are holding their institutions and leaders accountable. Let's hold PPS accountable as only alumni can!
