Here's our chance! PBOT Public Meeting about Westover/Cornell on Dec 5th, 7pm, Chapman Gym

West Hills Transportation Partners
16.11.2016
Not clear how much influence we will have on their decision, but the more people we can have show up at this meeting, the better.
See note from PBOT Constituent Services Coordinator Cevero Gonzalez below.
========
Greetings!
Thank you for writing to share your feedback regarding the traffic calming improvement PBOT installed at NW Westover and NW Cornell.
In follow-up to your outreach, I wanted to share a brief update regarding PBOT’s next steps, including: the evaluation of data collected during the initial six-month period, the investigation of a final recommendation, and a community briefing to discuss PBOT’s course of action.
Evaluation of Data Collection
Final data collection concluded on October 8, 2016. This is in addition to the data collected at the start of the installation period for the commuter restriction and at the three-month marker. PBOT Traffic Engineers are now evaluating all the data gathered and will be preparing summaries of their findings for review.
Investigation of a Final Recommendation
Once all of the data has been analyzed, PBOT Traffic Engineers will determine a final traffic calming recommendation for NW Westover and NW Cornell.
That being said, regardless of the final traffic calming recommendation identified by PBOT Traffic Engineers, please note that the current commuter restriction signage will remain in place. At least until such time when we meet with the public to discuss best next steps.
Public Community Briefing
PBOT will be hosting a public community briefing on Monday, December 5, 2016, to share detailed findings, provide an opportunity for discussion and to share a final recommendation. For your reference, and in hopes you will share this information with others, the details for this upcoming community briefing are provided below:
Public Community Meeting
Monday, December 5, 2016
7:00 p.m.
Chapman Elementary School Gymnasium
1445 NW 26th Avenue
More details will follow as the date approaches.
Again, my thanks to everyone who’s written, stopped in or called to share their feedback on this issue. I encourage you to share my correspondence with others so that as many people as possible are aware of the work that continues on behalf of the neighborhood.
Sincerely,
Cevero Gonzalez
