Commissioners Meeting to approve clean up

Well, we had great news waaaaayyy back in May, when the appointed administrator agreed to find violations against Tommy, and ordered that county would be permitted enter the property on June 6, 2022 to enforce a clean-up.

Unfortunately, June 6 has come and gone…and no one has cleaned the property.  The gas cans remain a few feet from my kid’s bedroom window, and the junk continues to pile up.

Fortunately, the County is meeting on July 12 to approve quotes from outside contractors to clean up.  Quotes are between $24k and $28k, which the county will front and will be then be recouped as a lien on the property.

While I feel like it’s entirely possible that the County could have saved itself quite a bit of money if they would have done something when we started asking for help  well over a decade ago, I’m hopeful that they might get it right, finally.

That said, it’s not done yet, and even after the first clean-up, there is no doubt that this is going to keep happening.
