Amazing news to report following an almost 1.5 hour hearing against the owner.
The county will be entering the property on or after June 3, 2022, will be cleaning the property, and will be getting a lien for the costs. This is not just “the roadside” but will be the entire four corners of the 5+ acre property. All the cars, boats, equipment, debris, and junk will be removed at the owner’s expense. The outbuildings will be emptied. I’ll post the order once I get a copy of it.
I cried listening to the county describe that the condition is a threat to the neighbors health- my family. The reality of what my kids have had to experience and the risk that we have faced for the past decade plus is overwhelming.
We will keep the petition open unless the property is sold- because this will likely recur. That said, I couldn’t be happier with all the attention you all helped us bring to this. We did it!!
