Demand Justice for Calvin: PSLPD to reopen the Investigation!
The Issue
Calvin Berry was a beloved mail carrier in Stuart, Florida for over thirty years. He was reported missing from his home on March 10th 2021 at midnight. Listen to the complete 911 call
His body was subsequently discovered, floating in the canal directly behind his house, on March 13, 2021.
⚠️ Red Flags, Inconsistencies & Unanswered Questions:
• 🕛 Calvin was reported missing just after midnight—yet no one saw him leave the house, his house completely fenced and the gate was still locked from the inside so how did he leave his yard?
• 🐕 K-9 units found no trace of him by the canal, but did track his scent away from the house toward a nearby intersection where a suspicious vehicle was.
• 📹 Police drones scanned the canal and found nothing, despite it being only 4.5 feet deep at its deepest point—shallow enough to walk through.
• 🚫 Search efforts in the canal area were paused for two days, despite his body being found there on Day 3.
• ❌ No footprints, no slip marks, and no signs he walked to or entered the canal.
• 🚓 A white SUV was seen parked in his driveway at midnight, lights off, then sped away at 12:30 a.m. It was never identified or investigated.
• 🐾 Bloodhounds gave negative results at the canal and showed no interest in the water.
• 🧍♀️ Children, who live less than 10 minutes away, not accounted for over 4 to 6 hours, no 911 call made to find their whereabouts yet 911 was called after 1.5 hours of Calvin “missing”.
• 💬 Immediate family members provided conflicting and inconsistent stories, which changed depending on the audience—family, friends, or police.
• 🛟 No divers were used because PSLPD seasoned Detective Kristin Meyer claimed the shallow canal was “too dangerous.” This is standard protocol, and divers are trained for such situations.
• ⚡ Defibrillator records from Calvin’s device showed no fatal arrhythmia—meaning his heart was still functioning after he was reported missing. A forensic pathologist confirmed he did not drown.
• 📞 A 2:54 a.m. phone call from a blocked number to Calvin’s phone, answered by his wife during the time officers were actively searching, was hidden for over two years and only uncovered through civil litigation.

• 🤐 Calvin’s wife originally claimed the 2:54 a.m. call might have been the “kidnapper,” before later admitting she answered it—after lying to investigators.
• 💊 Toxicology reports revealed extremely high levels of Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) in Calvin’s system—far exceeding the recommended dosage, and known to cause drowsiness, confusion, and impaired motor function. This raises serious concerns that he may have been drugged or incapacitated prior to death.
• ⚖️ The lead detective acted more like a defense attorney than an impartial investigator, showing bias and protecting those closest to Calvin that she had a duty to investigate and clear if nothing nefarious.
• 🧾 The Medical Examiner ruled the death “accidental” without forensic support—ignoring all contradictory evidence and expert analysis. A person who failed the Board Certified Forensic Pathologist Exam 5 times and most likely will never pass in a lifetime.
• 💰 A ransom message was received via TextNow the next day Calvin was reported missing, implying he had been kidnapped and demanding a $7000 ransom for his safe return. Law enforcement never investigated the origin of the message or who sent it, and never pursued it as a potential lead—despite this being a potential federal crime.

Despite the above (and much more) PSLPD refused to believe there was foul play. Lead Detective Kristin Meyer, had no interest in finding the truth; instead of upholding her oath to serve and protect, her only intention was apparently to BE COMPLICIT!
The unfit medical examiner, along with direction from the biased Detective, concluded "Accidental Drowning". No, No, No - we cannot accept this! We need a real and thorough investigation in compliance with the law. Taking into consideration all the inconsistencies and numerous red flags. These concerns are serious and law enforcement must give thoughtful consideration to all these details, and take action! If this was the reverse and his wife was found in the canal, Calvin would be the main and only person of interest! So much more information needs to be reviewed and taken seriously by law enforcement and as of this moment that is not happening. The family should welcome the continuation of a thorough investigation. The facts cannot be ignored.
