I am positive each of us have a personal story related to your loved one being isolated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Whether it was because they were hospitalized with COVID, in a nursing home, having a simple procedure, delivering a baby, etc. we can all relate to not being there with our loved one. For me, my Poppy was hospitalized for several weeks and ultimately died alone. This same thing happened to thousands of other families and continues to happen across the state as hospitals still have their doors closed. 

Change has to happen. No one deserves to be left alone at such a poignant time in their life. I am thankful to say a NEWER and STRONGER patient advocacy bill has been dropped in Alabama's Senate. This bill allows every patient, no matter the circumstance, to safely have an advocate at their side. 

Although this bill has made it through the Senate, we still have along way to go! Please sign this petition in support of The Harold Sachs' Act and patient advocacy!
