Cancer is by far the leading disease-related cause of death in children worldwide. In America in 2020, gun violence became the leading cause of death in kids and teens. In my article linked in the Facebook post below, I write, "With every Nashville, Uvalde, or Parkland, I think of the families of the 20 six-and-seven-year-old children and 6 staff killed in Sandy Hook. The 19 children killed in Uvalde were aged nine to eleven. I know what it’s like to unexpectedly lose someone you cherish. My wife Briggs died of medical errors just as we were turning around her cancer. Birthdays, anniversaries of deaths, and year-ends become times to think of decades lost." I hope you'll share the post to make gun violence more of an issue in the lead-up to the election: https://shorturl.at/zim1Y
