UPDATE: News article published on Courier Mail/Southern Star: Hundreds sign petition for a Sunnybank police station amid renewed crime fears
I have compiled a number of additional Crime News stories that have been documented in local/national media.
I have also compiled some stats using QPS Crime Database. One clear statistic is, crime in Sunnybank Hills area has been compatibility increasing over the past few years in comparison to Sunnybank. A hypothesis would be is that because SBH is being seen as an easier spot now for criminals to do whatever they like because of limited police presence? (Possibly).
As a side note, the police can only do so much as people have commented and they do their best where they can, but if the stats/pattern suggest resources should be provided elsewhere (like a police station directly in Sunnybank or police beat in one of the SBH shops then resourcing should follow this data).
Keep up the effort especially if you have a spare moment today since it’s a Public Holiday, to sign or share this with a friend/family member/flatmate Thanks for the support, I am meeting in the next day or two with James Martin MP so hopefully it will be a positive experience
