School District 25 Communications Director, Courtney Fisher, has asked that I remove Doug Howell, Janie Gebhart and Jackie Cranor from receiving notification from Save Pocatello High Indians petitioners whose signatures are forwarded to Trustees email from change.org.

In addition she has asked that her own name be removed from the automated forwarding of signers of the petition.

Ms. Fisher's name was added to the list, last night, to verify if Trustee members were receiving the automated mailings after a freedom of information act request, failed to produce any emails to the School Board, from the community or from change.org concerning the mascot issue.

Her request to be removed confirms that she at least received the automated notification.

The mysterious absence of notifications from the community and Change.org in the information request allows for three possibilities:

1. No one from the community is writing letters to the Board of Trustees concerning the Indian logo issue. (of course we know over 3000 people have signed this petition.)

2. Change.org has been blocked from Trustees and decision makers emails. This would  be baffling as at least Courtney Fisher is receiving notification now that she has been listed as a decision maker.

or 3. There is a gate keeper, such as Ms. Fisher, that is not providing emails to the Board of Trustees to whom those emails are directed.

This unsettling news is unsatisfactory.

I would ask that the School District get to the bottom of this mystery and that, Ms. Fisher, instead of asking to not receive notification and emails from members of the community with opposing points of view, respectfully acknowledge the the receipt of said emails and the change.org notifications. 

Please provide the emails and letters as requested.

Note:  School members, Dave Mattson, Paul Vitale and Jim Facer were listed as decision makers only today. They will now also be provide automatic notification from signers of the petition.
