On 14th Dec 2021, Senior doctor and Ward Attendant stabbed  in the largest government hospital of Sikkim, STNM Hospital , GANGTOK, Sikkim, INDIA. The condition of the doctor is critical. The culprit has been nabbed by Sikkim Police.

This has happened in broad daylight within the hospital premises. It is very easy to enter a hospital and stab a doctor in India. The security infrastructure for doctors of both government and private hospitals is grossly inadequate. 

Right to work in a safe workplace for Doctors, Nurses and other healthcare staff in India must be implemented.
