Doctors and nurses assaulted in Kolkata at Calcutta National Medical College after death of a patient on 16th Aug 2020. 

When doctors all over the world are fighting Corona, people in India are still assaulting doctors. When Epidemic Act provides protection to doctors and severe punishment to assaulters, this is the state where a doctor is assaulted every other day. What will happen if Epidemic Act lifts after Corona is over?

Sometimes I want the Epidemic to go on forever. At least doctors in India will get some protection from assault due to provisions of Epidemic Act.
