Brutal Attack on Dr rahul menon at gourishankar hospital, kodungallur.A girl fathima naureen aged 6 yrs road traffic accident victim brought to hospital with head injury examined by cmo Dr rahul menon and first aid given and reffered to aster medcity .Doctor while returning to opd, 3 men brutally attacked namely Mr Shafeek and 2 friends . DR rahul got injury to neck and head . He is admitted in government hospital and reffered to neurology department. State president Dr E K ummer , Dr muhammed rasheed ,Dr saidu , Dr jose ukken , president kodungallur ima dr thomas mammen ,secretary Dr praveen and thrissur district committee convener Dr Sandeep sudhakaran met Dr rahul menon. The team visited gourishankar hospital and cctv footage was seen , culprits and vehicle number were identified. Emergency executive meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of state president Dr E k ummer with members of kodungallur branch and following decisions were taken. 1: complaint given to police station and apply HPA act and copies forwarded to district and state police headquarters . 2: Tommorrow 12th february monday emergency strike by doctors of kodungallur where emergency casualty and emergency surgery will be undertaken. 3 : within 24 hours action should be taken 4 : Failing which district level strike will be undertaken and later kerala state level protest will happen Posted as recieved.
