It is heartening to see the reaction to the authoritarian and abusive regime here in Plymouth.

I started the petition on 28 December 2022 and we have grown enormously and now linked up with people who are suffering similar abuse in different areas of the UK. Thank you for connecting with us!

Our signatures come mainly from the UK, but we also have interest in France, USA, Sri Lanka, Norway and Cyprus.

The petition came from hearing about mainly older folk being bullied on our local fields. Our councillors turned a blind eye to it all. Our own experience of being stalked and bullied for two hours came six weeks into the petition.

The essence of this petition is an abuse of power, a complete lack of accountability, an arrogant change of use of public land, and, of course, the removal of our rights to use public land to walk our dogs.

You are obviously moved by one or more of these reasons to protest. Please help by spreading the word. Even now most dog owners here know nothing of the abuse that is happening. Anyone outside the doggy world knows nothing, but they should be aware of the appalling attitude of those who hold power. Arbitrary decisions backed up by fascist methods need to be checked. Who knows where they will strike next?
