Dog poo is Disgusting!

Of course it is. It is disgusting not just for the 1% who play organized sport on our public fields for a few months a year, it is disgusting for everyone, all year round.

I think our council should fine people for leaving dog dirt on public land, anywhere. But very few fines are given for this offence. Almost all the fines are given for dogs crossing white lines.

PCC is operating a two-tier system. My young grandchildren are not as special as the sports players, though they use the land. They run and tumble on both sides of the white lines. Young children fall a lot. Babies crawl on the grass

If you picnic you should be able to feel that the council is as diligent controlling dog-fouling wherever you are on a public green space, but this is not the case.

The only area that is monitored is inside the white lines, where organised sport is played.

So what about the rest of us?? 

Dividing green space between ‘sports fields good’ and ‘other public areas less good’ is odious. Let’s have clean fields for the whole population, year round, and do away with this anti-democratic, preposterous policy of bullying the public when their dog crosses a white line.
