UPDATE 12 02 23

A big thank you to everyone who has signed!

Let us look at what is happening.

I have written 3 letters to our councillors which have been ignored.

So, there is no democratic process in this area.

The council is pushing this Public Spaces Protection Order for dogs to be kept on lead across the whole of Plymouth, wherever PUBLIC LAND has sports pitches marked out.

Where people used to enjoy a variety of activities, including sports and picnics and dog walking, dog walking has essentially been banned.

Across the whole population of Plymouth, this change of use means that thousands of people, (I imagine we are the majority users of PUBLIC LAND), are not welcome.

People are being threatened with the police every day. – “Name, address, date of birth, email address. And if you do not comply, we will call the police”.

People are crying as they are fined, leaving the fields and vowing never to return.

Our local field in Dean Cross is empty now.

People are too scared to use their own PUBLIC LAND.

The only way for the city to keep this PSPO is to continue to bully us, to intimidate us.

Join together on this site by posting comments in the Comments section. Express your opinions, share your experiences of being fined or any other relevant info.

Intimidation rules. Shamefully, our town has adopted an authoritarian regime more typical of a third world country.

Stand up and be counted or we will lose our PUBLIC LAND.
