Today we officially launched our Wittenoom community education campaign to discourage visitors to the deadly, asbestos-contaminated town. Sadly, we know the death toll from Wittenoom won’t stop, until the visitors stop. Our observations of tourists posting their visits to Wittenoom and the surrounding gorges to their social media pages, has demonstrated that we needed an updated message to warn the younger generation of Wittenoom’s deadly legacy. We would like to extend our thanks to the many media outlets who have supported this campaign and given us a voice to reach this new generation.
