A company called “Cummins” has an article about Hydrotreated vegetable oil. (HVO for short) According to Wikipedia, some people call hydrotreated vegetable oil “green diesel”. Microsoft (the company that brought you Windows and Xbox) is about to team up with Cummins, according it its article. Sometimes, both hydrotreated vegetable oil and biodiesel can be made using the same ingredients, and vegetable oil is one of them. According to Cummins, however, the difference between biodiesel and hydrotreated vegetable oil lies in the processes used to produce them. Some gas stations sell biodiesel, some sell hydrotreated vegetable oil, and some sell both. Suppose you own a diesel truck and want some hydrotreated vegetable oil from the gas station, but it is sold out. That would be a problem. Because of that, I'd highly recommend selling both.
