I was looking at posts on Facebook when I found this:
It’s an article about using ammonia as a fuel for cars.
I think I should edit the main description eventually because I don’t think just posting updates is good enough anymore.
Anyway, this article has been posted on a site called Interesting Engineering. When I read it, I felt like refueling cars with ammonia would increase the promise of cleaner air.
I thought it would be cool to see an ammonia-electric hybrid but according to the article, the batteries in electric vehicles are bad for the environment. It has been stated that EVs use Li-ion batteries.
Another thing stated in the article is that ammonia is difficult to burn with just the engines we have today and some people combine gasoline with it. However, I would highly recommend using biogasoline for that.
If you could buy ammonia from a gas station it would feel more futuristic than what we are doing with our vehicles today. Although I hope that most gas stations find a way to sell biogasoline and biodiesel before 2030.
