Importance of learning languages

We hope our district recognizes the importance of languages with all of our updates and finds ways to keep languages in our schools, rather than cutting them. German, Mandarin, and which one comes after those?? The same way we work on advancing our students though specific fields such as math/science courses for example, same emphasis should be upheld as it pertains to languages. Please keep that in mind when discussing budgets and future programs that set our children apart.
