Who benefits from learning languages?

Very to the point article as to how important education in foreign languages is. In fact starting students from an early age on is advantageous on so many levels. As a community we should have been and should be made aware of such cancellations when we vote in favor for budgets, since as a community we ALL benefit from our students being educated to fit in a globalized world. We need our school to be more forward thinking, especially in relation to STEM programs and the German language advantage in direct connection to such programs, and not cancel course that are educationally of high importance, but rather advocate them and drive enrollment by thinking in different solutions.
