‪My name is "Debbie" and I am circulating a "Petition" seeking as much support from the public as possible.I have a son that is currently being held against his will by the Department of Human Services.He is committed at a "treatment facility" in Southern Illinois,at Rushville,At no time did he ask/request for transfer there,from the IDOC.He
was handed over to DHS staff upon completion of his sentence on an "alleged" sex offense.The "IDOC",it's facility "Field Services" Reps.,the "PRG",and "Parole services unit,in"cahoots" with the DHS,make it impossible for anyone with a sex conviction ord "SVP or SDP" designation to get a host site/parole plan approved.Thus,holding the inmate in custody longer than required,until a bed opens at DHS for him.This is a"scam" devised to defraud the taxpayers and have the taxpayers foot the bill, for the cost to house these offenders at this DHS facility.IDOC
will instruct it's Parole agents to find "ANY" excuse to "DENY" an "SVP or SDP's"host
site"/parole plan.By doing this,they know the offender cannot find approvable host site/housing.They'll find housing/shelters/half way houses for murderers,child murderers but for SVP's & SDP's and persons convicted of sex offenses,they just refuse to.This facility isn't providing the adequate and quality treatment that the resident's committed there are supposed to recieve.The "Sexually Violent Persons Act" is a form of "Cruel & Unsual Punishment",which the Illinois and United States
Constitutions strictly prohibit.Both Constitutions afford every human being the basic fundamental and equal rights protection,regardless as to liberated or in custody status,color,race,religious beliefs,sexual orientation.This facility serves no real purpose except it's being used as a warehouse for humans while they milk the tax payers over and over year after year.residents at Rushville aren't being treated with the dignity and respect they're due.This place is a jail within a jail.The IDOC and DHS are using committed persons' past criminal histories/cases against them which violates their rights.It's also a form of "double jeopardy"which both Constitutions bar.
Further, this SVP ACT is totally unconstitutional and must be repealed at instant.I'm here to advise everyone that the SVP ACT does more harm than good.It doesn't make room for change,forgiveness or second chances for anyone at Rushville.If you've got a family member or friend that is confined there,chances are,they too are being mistreated.They too stand to never again get their freedom.Not a single person benefits from being locked up there.Please,help us by joining our fight to end the huge injustices to every person confined at Rushville or any DHS operated/controlled facility.Support our mission.Sign this Petition PLEASE.Share it with as many family,friends,neighbors,co-workers as you possibly can.It's for a good cause.Together we can take this to the incompetent law makers in Springfield that introduced this piece of legislation and the idiots who pushed and supported it and the incompetent/insensitive fools that voted to make it a law.The Governor that affixed his signature making it "official/law" SHAME ON YOU!Governor J.B.Pritzker what are YOU going to do?The right thing and repeal this law? Or be a crooked Politician and sit back and do absolutely nothing at all?
