Remove food allergens from Hungry Man frozen dinners, please
The Issue
Hungry Man has a variety of popular frozen foods, but some, like their Classic Fried Chicken, contain ingredients such as soy and monosodium glutamate, also known as M.S.G., in their dinners that customers cannot eat due to having food allergies. Soy is in the 9 major food allergens and has been known to cause such side effects as nausea, vomiting and runny or stuffy nose, and allergic reactions include skin redness, shortness of breath, hives or itching, tightness of the throat and trouble breathing. While Monosodium Glutamate is a "flavor enhancer" and not considered a food allergen, it can still cause side effects and allergic reactions such as vomiting, diarrhea, heart palpitations, itchy skin and/or skin irritation, muscle aches, swollen throat and migraine headaches. We would like to see Hungry Man remove soy and M.S.G. from their frozen dinners for fans to buy, safely eat and enjoy.
