Dear friends,
This Change.org petition was started many months ago in solidarity with the call from Martin Macwan, Co-founder of Navsarjan Trust, to remove the statue of Manu from the premises of the Rajasthan High Court -- which, unfortunately, remains to this day.
In the mean time, we have been updating you on the year-long campaign by Navsarjan Trust to draw attention to the fact that even after 75 years of independence, India has not been able to eliminate untouchability.
The last phase of the campaign, titled "Bhim Rudan: March for Untouchability-free India by 2047" is now underway, along with a ten foot tall brass coin (see image) to be delivered to the Parliament.
