In the past, I registered on several job search websites, and since then, I have frequently received spam calls from unknown phone numbers. As a result, whenever an unfamiliar number calls, I am forced to either ignore the call until it stops ringing or spend extra time searching the number online. This creates unnecessary effort and stress. What makes the situation worse is that many spam callers use different phone numbers each time, so blocking them does not provide a fundamental solution.

Today, many people feel anxious when receiving calls from unknown numbers. Spam calls have become a serious problem, disrupting daily life by creating unnecessary noise, interruptions, and stress. To address this issue, I am calling for the introduction of a system that allows phone numbers to display both a caller name and an optional reason for the call.

If such a system were implemented, recipients could immediately see who is calling and why, making it much easier to determine whether a call is spam and saving valuable time. For calls between people who know each other, providing a call reason could remain optional, helping to protect privacy. At the same time, for calls from unknown numbers, a social norm would naturally emerge in which calling without providing a reason is considered impolite. This would make phone communication safer and more comfortable for everyone.
