The Issue

I have been living in Breckenridge for 15 years and have witnessed a constant decline in the quality of terrain parks at EPIC Pass Resorts. It is disheartening to observe the deterioration of something so vital to our community and visitors from across the globe. EPIC Pass Resorts, including iconic ski locations such as Vail, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, and Keystone, are reportedly losing their appeal due to poor maintenance and lack of features within their terrain parks. The irony that a run at Breckenridge, named Park Lane, doesn't even feature a terrain park is disappointingly notable.

Many skiers and snowboarders have voiced their disappointment, even going as far as labeling the Epic Pass as inferior to competitors like Ikon Pass. Other resorts, such as Winter Park, Copper, Eldora, and Aspen, have shown significant improvement in their terrain park facilities, demonstrating that it can be achieved.

Understanding the significance of this issue, we demand that Epic Pass Resorts stop cutting corners, reinvest in their terrain parks, and bring back the park crews. Our community deserves better. Ensuring a well-maintained and enhanced terrain park serves not only the interest of locals but also the vast influx of tourists that contribute to the local economy. For the love of snow sports, for the good of the local economy, to maintain EPIC Pass Resorts' reputation, and MOST IMPORTANTLY FOR THE KIDS, improvements need to be made!

Epic Pass Resorts' annual gross profits are expected to exceed a billion dollars in 2025! How much money do they need? Vail Resorts annual gross profit for 2022 was $1.177B, a 41.75% increase from 2021. The CEO Kirsten Lynch nets 6 million annually!

Sign this petition to call for the necessary implementation of changes that will revitalize our beloved terrain parks. Show Epic Resorts that short-term savings that compromise the quality of their facilities won't be tolerated by the community and those who love skiing and snowboarding.
