Call-to-Action: Bill Stuck in Committee, Reach Out to Representative Petersen and CC your Rep!

Hello, everyone,

I emailed Representative Jimmy Anderson last week to inquire about any important insight or information regarding this bill that I could share with the group.

He got back to me over the weekend and has informed me that the "bill seems stuck in committee". While this is not great news, there is something we can do in the meantime to keep it moving forward in the direction we need to.

Representative Anderson has explained, "It is up to the committee chairman whether or not to hold a hearing on any particular bill. This legislation was directed to the committee on insurance led by Representative Petersen."

With this in mind, Representative Anderson recommends that each and every one of us reach out to Representative Peterson. This is exactly what he suggested:

"I would recommend that you and everyone interested in this legislation contact his office requesting a hearing on AB 411 (https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/2019/proposals/reg/asm/bill/ab411 It would also be smart to CC your state representative and senator when reaching out so that they know you are making this request."
