Hello, everyone,
I am happy to see and report that we have picked up a bit with new signees! Congratulations on making this happen. Thanks to those who've shown their support and continue to. Your efforts really do go a long way. I hope you genuinely see that. I do believe if we keep working at this, our efforts will pay off.
I would like to ask for your feedback and input on one very important question that has come to mind a lot for me recently, which is, what more can we do?
We want to see this bill go forward, and offer our own insight and experience to see it go through! We want to spread awareness and start a nationwide healthcare reform movement. So, I wonder... what meaningful steps are we taking to get from point to point? As it moves through our government, I wonder what your ideas are on how we can work better together to achieve our ultimate goal? How can we do better at taking action?
This is no doubt a process and will require patience and celebrating small wins as we work to achieve our larger goal, but, for today's post, I wanted to spend the time checking in with you all to see what you're doing and what your thoughts are about how we can help to support this petition in the most purposeful ways?
As for myself, I have offered to speak at any future hearings to our representatives if the opportunity presents. I have subscribed to legislation updates at docs.legis.gov, and continue to monitor the news for keywords around the bill and campaign. I share a lot on social media about movements across the U.S. to lower insulin price caps to seed gradual awareness and expand our community.
This is a huge joint effort! I wonder what you are doing on your own or with others to help it move forward and spread awareness for the community? I'd love to get more ideas to help this community work together better to achieve this goal!
Thanks for your time. I hope you have a great weekend and look forward to your answers.
Julia
