Last night the full plan for school unification was presented to the public. Please see the included story below. We’re getting closer to the time the vote will be made on whether the board agrees with the plan or not. Please continue to email the board members and let them know to vote NO to the plan. Members of the school communities were NOT involved in this process and we do NOT agree. Please be the voice of the children and the community since we didn’t have one in the process. Members of the community that have let their voice be heard through the media have all agreed this is NOT the best decision. The children and members of the community were NOT considered in the process and it cannot be said that this isn’t about policing or restricting when it seems the communities that already face so many challenges and barriers are the ones that are singled out! You can’t choose what is best for OUR children when you’ve never been a member of OUR communities! You can’t say we’re struggling when you have no clue! No one asked us…….but we vote NO.

Denver Public Schools presents school closure, consolidation plan to the public
