With thanks to Olivia Kelly and supporters near and far for helping keep the #SaveShanganaghPark campaign in the public eye over the last 12+ months.
No indication yet from DLRCOCO on where things are at in response to design changes following public opposition and more sustainable alternatives put forward - meanwhile the Park is increasingly scarred from activity linked to new building developments on its borders with more and more trees and hedgerows disappearing while diggers tear up meadows and paths for Irish Water ground investigations and DLRCOCO tractors trash pedestrian pathways and woodland paths.
In a climate and nature emergency, when will local Councillors, TDs, and other state agencies intervene and take control of the situation to deliver what the community and park biodiversity needs and not what the Council wants?!
