To my local friends and family of Airlie beach, and cross the world, I am writing this heart felt message while I fight back tears, to ask for support from everyone that knows me to help my case towards getting permanent residency granted. 

As most of you know, I’ve worked and live in Australia for the past 10 years, where I’ve resided in Airlie Beach since I moved here in 2013. I’ve always worked within our local community, living through cyclones and a pandemic, I haven’t left Australia for many years and seen my family because of the continuous hard work I’ve endured to be able to afford my visa costs. 

I’ve worked so hard for the last decade to achieve my dream of becoming a Resident of this country I’ve called home throughout my whole 20’s. With constant set backs and applying for every visa I have been personally eligible for over this whole period to stay here in Australia, paying close to $50,000 in visa fees. 

I’m at a point of desperation, as I’ve recently paid over $15,000 to apply for an invite to two different visas that lead to PR without response for the last 6 months, my current visa ends in less than 2 months and at this moment have no other visa options available. I never thought it would ever come to this and it breaks my heart that I might actually have to leave Australia after 10 years, so i’m asking for the support of my friends of this town, and across the world to help me fight my case for something I’ve worked so hard for and truly deserve the right to stay here. 

I’ve contacted our local MP asking for help and support towards my campaign, as I am more than eligible for both of the visas I have submitted an Expression of Interest for. I’ve worked and studied regionally in The Whitsundays over these past 10 years, always working within the Hospitality industry, I’ve always paid my taxes and made sure I’ve had adequate health care under the visa requirements for every visa I have been granted, I’ve studied two international student visas to gain more qualifications and worked hard throughout the last decade to build the years of experience needed towards being eligible for Permanent Residency, and I now tick all of the boxes of immigrations criteria for both a 190/491 visa but I really don’t know what else I can do as sponsorship options have consistently fallen through. 

It genuinely breaks my heart and is so soul destroying that someone can work so hard and pay so much money in visas fees with constant knock backs, I truly know in my heart this country is where I want to be, this is my home, this is my life and I will continue to fight till the end to live in this beautiful country I call home! 

So I very kindly ask all of my beautiful friends of this town, near and far to help support my campaign to stay in my home of Australia and sign & share this petition �� 

I’m at breaking point, because I mentally and financially can’t go through this process again, I’m not the person to reach out and publicly ask for help but this current visa application could be my last chance of having the future I’ve dreamt of my whole life.
