Unfortunately Another Incident with 13Cabs, this one makes it on the news, many don't.
Channel 9 Sydney Again has the nerve to report it and still wont do an investigation, thankfully no one was seriously hurt - this time!
I have to sit back and have this on my concious daily wondering whos getting hurt today, i hardly watch the news due to witnessing incidents like this... when ive lost everything trying to have action occur from 13cabs, labor Mp's, Fairwork, Mayors, and media who want as it seems people and workers to be placed at serious risk daily, weekly and yearly.
The govts and mp's advise and say its heavily regulated this industry?? No, its not!
Though if it is, their doing a botch job somewhere at the auditing office and 13cabs cleans up these messes when their about to be audited so their is no accountibility required. 13cabs for example can sack me for no reason other than trying to raise concerns, but their is no record because it was all done verbally, no written communication about it still to this day near three years on; their is no record of it found because they dont create records for it to be found.
If they were heavily regulated, id still possibly be in my job as a self employed person and taxi driver and my job secured when a worker tries to communicate community risks; these matters wouldnt be able to continue to occur!
Ive had everything coming at me since, false accusations to taint me and discredit me, even channel 9's abuse of using police to intimidate me into silence placing costs upon me for ambulances i didnt call for and right upon christmas, just for lodging a complaint about their non action in wanting to hear these matters and what has occured to me and many, and because after a year of attempting to have these matters investigated with not one returned call- that they are just as bad at placing everyone, especially the elderly at risk for not reporting or even looking into it and whats really happening in this company and its space, do not test channel 9 to care for you, they will use and exploit you like 13cabs and use police, lie to police and get you to a state of needing to go off edge and than they use it against you.
Not all drivers are bad or dangerous, they put up with alot, police hardly care and do not act when we report these matters, 13cabs in your training advise "we have a great relationship with police and they will help", and operators who own the cabs tell you "forget police, dont report the abuse or loss of fare due to fare evasion, because police do nothing and my other drivers need to car so you cant take it to go and download the footage for police at 13cabs office".
Operators are right in one sense, because police dont care not act as it happens daily, but as a worker, a taxi driver- we still need to be paid for these trips; and when police, 13cabs and operators all dont help in anyway to reduce these situations- this is why the pressure cooker and some of these good and bad drivers react to other passengers and it can turn nasty, and dangerous very quickly on both sides; 13cabs, police and operators pass the buck of who is responsible to pay me if a passenger doesnt want to pay, they wont get in a room together, you have to as a driver use your shift hours to chase whats owed, for all of them to blame each other and no wonder drivers in the end lose their cool at passengers who try or give ff traits their not going to pay.
Will Labor now start listening yet, because liberals dont care, we all kniw that, labor in my area were the MP's to act in my case, they didnt want to even involve themselves with every excuse possible- shrugging their shoulders at me saying "what do you want me to do", they than asked if i was speaking to a professional, was i being medicated because i was upset at the time that their were people at risk, mainly the elderly and id just lost my job from being axed trying to help others who had been placed in danger and 13cabs would ignore them as i was being ignored as a driver within, nobody cared, espesically the labor mp's nor the Mayor, still hasnt called me back, both innthe region didnt.
Hopefully Labor cares now right? if not for the general publics safety, at least for the vulnerable elderly whom have no choice but to catch cabs in most cases and get abused in the process because the govts give them half fare vouchers only for cabs, they need to get around, though their abused as drivers try to avoid allowing them to use their voucher or add more money in fare to rip them off. 13cabs again as well as both sides of govt continue to allow this to happen??
Be safe everyone, hopefully some logic and safety starts to be implemented very soon for everybodies sake in this industry - including other road users who are also at risk from the unsafe driving some of these cab drivers carry on with.
