Musical themed DCOM eulogies and trilogies from over the years are getting new trilogies and duologies, first came a new Descendants trilogy about the daughters of the Queen Of Hearts and Cinderella who rewrite history, then not along after the previous trilogy finished up came a new Zombies trilogy set about Daywalkers and Vampires at a place called Rayburn, most recently came a new Camp Rock duology about a new generation of campers at the titular camp, and coming up next is a new trilogy for The Cheetah Girls, whether or not there’s a new trilogy for the High School Musical franchise will depend on if High School Musical The Musical The Series which even had it’s own High School Musical 4 stopped there from being one.

Most likely they’ll stick to musical themed films that has sequels when it comes to this being done, although the 1995 and 2018 Freaky Friday films getting their own Freakier Friday sequels at some point would be nice. When it comes to the Teen Beach films meanwhile, it should not get given a new duology atleast until 2030, that way there’d be time for new protagonists in the form of Mack and Brady’s potential offspring to be teenagers. As for whatever they get up to, Wet Side Story most likely won’t be involved based on how those who played the characters of that in universe film such as Lela and Tanner will have aged since the 2010s, and based on how the new protagonists ending up in that film would lead to the exact same plot as the previous duology’s first film in particular.
