Now I agree that this does not at all seem like a good move to when it comes to the internet, I for one was under 16 when I started to have accounts on sites I use, with YouTube for instance I was 15 when I first had an account there, and for Twitter I was 17, and I was 17 or maybe 21 with Deviantart, in fact a lot of things with me on the internet along with how I make use of it was in my teen years. In fact I have been using non-social media sites such as where action is able to get taken more frequently due to staff being those with accounts of their own, and I have known a lot of people on the internet as teenagers or even younger over the years. This can be even more concerning due to things being done to make sure those with social media accounts are 16 or older, I myself even worry about what every move being watched over on sites I use based on ways people wrongly determine ages based that seems completely unnecessary, I despite things about me that some people get the wrong idea of am currently 29 years old, even people who are similar in certain ways are still adults. By having age restrictions like this with social media, some things would look like a joke such as shows themed around the internet, the best examples of this would be iCarly and Bizaardvark, another thing that would look like a joke is those world famous who got their start to the internet through social media when they were teenagers or even younger. Now this with Australia is only a first, other countries in the coming months could be next.

It always is a pleasure for people to have their starts with internet accounts whilst as teenagers instead of adults, especially with what got accomplished from it. Need I mention that I have a brother who started to be on Facebook since he was 13, as have a lot of those that I knew from secondary school. So what I ask with this petition is that they undo what's been done with social media in Australia, or that the age restrictions be lowered to something else, all what's still being at an age where parents still have power over their offspring and that's where a person wouldn't be old enough to drive a car, what's most important though is that the unneeded age verifications get removed. Social Media in fact is not something that should be like R Rated Films and M Rated Games, although that's actually for 17 and older as opposed to 16 and older, same said with requires no longer being a minor, in fact that I know a lot of things that under 16s have been known to do no problem other then that of having jobs and babysitting and things that eventually stop. 

Think of the official accounts of those who are under 16, not to mention those under 16 who are world or regionally famous with what they do and what they're known for. There's even the stuff they do with us at school in terms of anything with the word cyber in it. In fact there are more sufficient things that could be done if anyone were to be concerned about what people do on social media.
