UPDATE November 5, 2023:

Lloyd and I are planning to hold a PLEASE SAVE ANDREW PROTEST at the Coles Building, across from the Murphy's Community Centre, 175 Richmond Street, Charlottetown, P.E.I., Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 12:30p.m. The Legislative Assembly is back in session on Nov. 7, 2023. Our signs will say PLEASE SAVE ANDREW.

I have advised Minister of Health, Mark Mclane that if I receive written confirmation that the Ministerial Order will be approved and signed by him on Monday, that I will cancel the protest scheduled for Tuesday.

Our protest is for Andrew and our plea to have Hon. Mark McLane, Minister of Health, sign a Ministerial Order to facilitate a medical transfer home to P.E.I. It is also for all the Andrews that are suffering with mental illness. In addition, it is for the families who have to fight roadblocks to get their loved one medical help.  

Countless friends, family and colleagues will be joining us for the PROTEST.

I received a phone from Daniel Tziatis, Director of Mental Health and Addictions at the Humber River Hospital, Toronto. He advised that he had been contacted by P.E.I. authorities requesting Andrew's medical records. Both he and Dr. Emily Donaldson, psychiatrist agree that Andrew meets the criteria for a medical transfer. Daniel asked me, as substitute decision maker, for permission to send the records, which I willingly did. This gives me cause to have more hope today!

In spite of this, I know that things can turn on a dime, so the clock is still ticking for the Ministerial Order to be signed.

We phone the Humber River Hospital every day and speak to Andrew's nurse for updates. Andrew is now spending time in the lounge watching television. This is a big improvement, as he previously stayed in his room. The nurses tell us that Andrew is polite, cooperating and tolerating his medications.

It is my belief that God is in Andrew's story. So many unbelievable things happened. This includes meeting incredible people on Facebook who were put in my path, and helped. And also the way in which circumstances unfolded and remarkably came together to complete the story.

There are currently 10988 signatures on the PLEASE BRING ANDREW BRYENTON HOME TO P.E.I. PETITION. These are caring and compassionate people from Ontario and Prince Edward Island.  WE NEED 12 MORE SIGNATURES TO ACHIEVE 11000.   PLEASE SIGN TODAY!

Please continue to pray for Andrew and our family. Also pray that Hon. Mark McLane will do the right thing, and authorize Andrew's Ministerial Order for a medical transfer.
