UPDATE NOVEMBER 4, 2023: URGENT! TIME IS RUNNING OUT!
Life at the Bryenton home has not been easy over the past year. Thankfully, I have always been an optimistic person and blessed with a never give up spirit. That is why I dubbed myself MAMA BEAR and MAMA BEAR WILL NEVER GIVE UP!

I have decided it is time to step out of my comfort zone, and launch a PROTEST at the Coles Building, 175 Richmond Street, Charlottetown, P.E.I., across from Murphy's Community Centre, Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 12:30p.m. The Legislative Assembly is back in session on November 7, 2023. Both Lloyd and I will carry signs that say," PLEASE SAVE ANDREW." Does anyone happen to have a sound horn?

Our protest is for Andrew and our plea to have Hon. Mark McLane, Minister of Health sign the Ministerial Order to facilitate a medical transfer home to P.E.I. It is also for all the Andrews that are suffering with mental illness. In addition, it is for the families who have to fight roadblocks to get their loved one medical help.

This past week has been a road with twists and turns. The e-mail that I received from Hon. Mark McLane, Minister of Health was upsetting. It was vague, and we did not know how to interpret it.

Thankfully yesterday, Hon. Minister McLane sent me an e-mail with an apology, and some hope that work was being done on the Ministerial Order request. The Minister said he would contact me with an update.

I will cancel the protest, if I receive written assurance on Monday, November 6, 2023, that the Minister of Health, Mark McLane will sign the Ministerial Order facilitating Andrew's medical transfer back home to P.E.I. Please stay tuned.

In addition, I received a phone call yesterday from Daniel Tziatis, Director of Mental Health and Addictions at the Humber River Hospital, Toronto. He advised that he had been contacted by P.E.I. authorities requesting Andrew's medical records. Both he and Dr. Emily Donaldson, psychiatrist agreed that Andrew met the criteria for a medical transfer. Daniel asked me, as substitute decision maker, for permission to send the records, which I willingly did. This gives me cause to have more hope today!

In spite of this, I know that things can turn on a dime, so the clock is still ticking for the Ministerial Order to be signed.

It is my belief that God is in Andrew's story. So many unbelievable things happened. This includes meeting incredible people who were put in my path, that could help. And also the way in which circumstances unfolded and came together to complete the story.

There are currently 10986 signatures on the PLEASE BRING ANDREW BRYENTON HOME TO P.E.I. PETITION. These are caring and compassionate people from Ontario and Prince Edward Island.  Let's hit 11000!

Please continue to pray for Andrew and our family. Also pray that Hon. Mark McLane will do the right thing, and authorize Andrew's Ministerial Order for a medical transfer.
