UPDATE OCTOBER 19, 2023:
It is wonderful to go to bed and know that Andrew is safe and warm in the Humber River Hospital, Toronto. He is under the care of Dr. Emily Donaldson, psychiatrist. It is also good to know that Andrew has a bed, delicious hot meals, snacks, showers and a team of caring professionals.

I decided yesterday to send Andrew two 8 x 10 photos. One was Andrew running in the 2018 P.E.I. Marathon. I also included a photo of him with his baseball team. He had so many buddies on that team. I thought these photos might help bring back cherished memories.

In addition, I enclosed a copy of THE MAGIC TOOTHBRUSH children's storybook that I wrote. Our two grandchildren, Anna and James are on the front cover. It is a story about them going for a dental visit, and teaches children not to be afraid to go to the dentist.

I thought I would put a smile on your face today with this cute song, to the tune of Row, Row, Row Your Boat.   Here is the BRUSH, BRUSH, BRUSH YOUR TEETH song that I wrote. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5e_1EDDaX0  The children absolutely love to sing this song.

I also wrote a note to Andrew telling him that when he gets well, he will be able to see his children again.

A Facebook friend from Ontario was on P.E.I. and returning home.  She saw my post and offered to come and pick up the package and take it to Andrew on Monday.  I could not believe her kindness.   Andrew will have the photos much faster.  She has been following Andrew's journey.  Our Ontario hosts have offered to deliver items to Andrew. The generosity of Ontario residents continues daily.

The medication regime began last evening. As expected, Andrew refused to take his oral medication. He was given a needle instead.  They will try again tonight. This is the first step to recovery. We realize that Andrew has a long and difficult road ahead of him. But it will never be as hard as the road he had for the past year being homeless. We will walk every step of the way with Andrew to ensure he stays on his medication, and starts to enjoy his life again. Andrew has so much to offer!

We have been given legal authority to be substitute decision makers for Andrew. We are permitted by law to authorize medication and a medical transfer home to P.E.I.

Lloyd and I enrolled in an eight week CAMH Course for families dealing with mental illness.  We are a small group and the facilitators are wonderful.  I think we will learn much from the, facilitators, materials provided, and the other people attending.  We both felt that we needed support.  It has been quite the battle.

Here is a beautiful reminder sent to me. https://fb.watch/nKcP46KRlS/

Prior visits with Andrew provided us with a glimpse of his life on the streets. He told us about all the people that helped him. He said that he made people happy when he accepted their gift. This was most insightful of him and surprised us. He told people that he suspected his parents were doing something, as he was getting so much assistance.

In spite of the recent chaos, my song, God Will Take Care of You, continues to play in my head. Here is the link:

The PLEASE BRING ANDREW BRYENTON HOME TO P.EI. PETITION has 10736 signatures from caring and compassionate Ontario and P.E.I. residents. Here is the link: https://chng.it/TMKMZfHH2p It is fast and free.

HERE IS A VIDEO GLIMPSE OF ANDREW. HE WAS MENTALLY ILL AT THE TIME BUT NOT TO THIS DEGREE.
A lady sent this video blog of Andrew to me. I was not aware the video existed. It will give you a glimpse of Andrew, when he was relatively well. It was titled, "The Best Running Shoes."

A lady sent the following message, "It is so powerful how a loving community can move its members for an altruistic reason."

Lloyd and I thank every kind soul who reached out and assisted Andrew. We are extremely grateful to the residents of Ontario who helped our son survive since January 2023. I smile when I see an Ontario license plate on P.E.I. now.

Many of you are sending kind notes asking that I continue with updates of Andrew's progress. Yes, I will certainly do this. I will be happy to share Andrew's story as he slowly but surely regains his life back. Andrew is a kind hearted young man and we know some day in the future he will say, "Thanks Mom and Dad for saving my life."

We will share with him the story of how he survived on the streets thanks to the caring and compassionate people of Ontario.

We thank residents of Ontario that searched for Andrew and helped me in so many ways. We worked as a well greased machine. We were and still are ANDREW'S ARMY OF ANGELS! How can we ever repay the people of Ontario for your kindness and love shown to our son, Andrew Bryenton?

We were advised today that the medical transfer request is being reviewed.

MAMA AND PAPA BEAR ARE VERY GRATEFUL!  THANK YOU.
