The issue

The amount of G rated feature films films there have been in the 2020s is way fewer then how many there were in the 2010s after the MPAA got stricter possibly thanks to a particular scene of Toy Story 3. By far there’s not been a single G rated Disney film in the 2010s with the most recent having been Noelle in 2019, nor had there ever been a single G rated film from 20th Century Fox with the most recent having been The Peanuts Movie in 2015. Paramount and Universal however have had their first G rated films in years after having nine at all in the 2010s, hopefully the same can be said with Warner Bros.. The 2020s even had it’s very first PG rated Toy Story film with the most recent 5th installment, and there’s certainly been quite the other PG follow ups to G rated animated films such as the PAW Patrol film sequels based on how they played out and the long awaited sequels to particular Aardman films, proving that even early childhood stuff are not always guaranteed to be rated G.

We even still await another G rated follow to PG rated animated film, the only one so far is the second Shaun The Sheep film. By far the only G rated feature length films of the 2020s are the following: PAW Patrol: The Movie, Luck, Baby Shark’s Big Movie and Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie. Hopefully said rating will be given to these films as well: The Cocomelon Movie, Snoopy Unleashed, the third Sesame Street movie if ever it finally releases and The Polar Express 2.

Basically the goal of this petition is for atleast The Cocomelon Movie and Snoopy Unleashed to be rated G, why because Cocomelon is the very same thing Gabby’s Dollhouse is, but let’s hope it eases on the perils and other age rating impacting themes that we don’t see in the show, plus Snoopy Unleashed is a Peanuts film to point where it would make sense for it to like The Peanuts Movie have the same age rating for the same reason. Last time there was a fully animated film from Universal was The Take Of Despereaux in 2008, which was the latest G rated film from them in general for 17 years. Plus Luck from Skydance Animation as mentioned had been rated G, which is their only Apple TV film and only film of their!: altogether to be rated as such. Either way I don’t see any distributor only having a single G rated film in the entire 2020s, which gives all the more reason for The Cocomelon Movie and Snoopy Unleashed. I do sadly see Disney and FOX which it now owns not having a single G rated film in the 2020s, even when it comes to particular long awaited sequels from them that includes a potential 3rd Fantasia film.
