Hello Everyone,
I wanted to send you an UPDATE on how all your support over the years enabled 'Jacks Law' to be created.
When I started this campaign 10 years ago after the death of my son Jack, I always knew I had to make a positive out of something so tragic that affected myself and my family and friends and the community.
Jack was just 23 months old when he tragically died. It was a day that my life changed forever and I had no idea how I was ever going to learn to laugh and smile again, but over time I did learn.
Grief effects everyone differently and there is no right or wrong way to grieve it is just our own way.
My personal Grief I focused my energy into creating CHANGE and Legislation, along the way I was met with many obstacles but these just made me more determined in continuing my fight to help others.
Every signature that was collected, every Radio,TV,newspaper and magazine interview over the years that I did was just to raise awareness of my fight for change and make a positive in Jacks memory to ensure No other Parent would be told they couldn't take time off to Grieve their Child.
So Thank you to everyone that listened and talked about "The girl who needed 100,000 signatures."
You are all my Superheros.
My Mission hasn't ended.... I still believe that everyone should be given time to Grieve and I will continue to fight for you, so if you need time off from work to grieve a loved one you can take it without losing your job, be told "Aren't You Over that Yet".
Take Care of yourselves during this time and I am always Here should you wish any support during your Grief.
