Petition for the Miss Universe Philippines Organization to Reassess Participation in Miss Universe

To the Miss Universe Philippines Board and the Filipino public:

I respectfully request that the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPh) organization consider temporarily discontinuing participation in the Miss Universe competition. Recent developments within the global pageant have raised concerns regarding fairness, transparency, and the overall direction of the brand.

The Philippines has long been a significant contributor to the pageant’s prestige, influence, and audience engagement. A strategic pause in sending representatives would allow MUPh to advocate more effectively for necessary reforms while protecting the interests of future candidates.

This appeal is made in support of the welfare of our representatives and in recognition of the Philippines’ standing as a pageant powerhouse. Our candidates deserve an environment that upholds integrity, respect, and equal opportunity.

I hope you consider my plea. Our girls deserve better.

Update: I have been told that it is too late to back out for 2026, but unless we are not guaranteed a fair competition, this petition will stand its ground.
