This petition is to demand money back from Sony Playstation Network after numerous times of going offline for hours, days, and even months without prior notice to customers, some of whom only have access to online gameplay.

Sony Playstation has been caught faking their server status on their website several times and with no information coming from any of the Sony Playstation customer service outlets, users are left with $500 to $800 unplayable units.

Back in 2013, PSN experienced a large DDOS attack from the Lizard group which kept PSN down for several months (which Sony again kept quiet for days before coming forward) and resulted in millions of customers having their personal and financial data stolen.

Sony then increased pricing for PSN memberships to ensure a more robust security system. 

Here's a breakdown of the price increases for PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) over the past 10 years, based on available information:

2016:

PS Plus Essential (then called PS Plus) increased from $50 to $60 annually.

2023:

PS Plus Essential increased from $59.99 to $79.99 annually.

PS Plus Extra increased from $99.99 to $134.99 annually.

PS Plus Premium increased from $119.99 to $159.99 annually.

The shutdown of PSN comes just hours after they collected millions of dollars from customers for PSN membership access.
