Oh universe, dear universe, we need your help. Chucking this out to all those who have supported our work in the past, (that's you if you are seeing this email), in the hope that the cosmos will send back tiny knights on sparkling chargers to aid our plans....or just a few donations to help us deliver a programme of creative playful workshops to Deaf children in Norfolk. We are looking for a person or a business to sponsor the creation of 150 toylikeme-tastic badges to give out to children attending our workshops. These badges will show Tinkerbelle with a hot pink cochlear implant or Hulk with an bright orange hearing aid. Small things can have big impact. Deaf children very rarely see their minority experiences collided with the cultural mainstream of the toy box. These badges are a tiny thing with the potential to make a big impact to the self esteem of deaf children. We have written, tweeted and tagged in loads of local businesses in our area but so far no-one has taken up the challenge to fund these badges. So here we are, as a last resort, standing cap in hand, asking you.
