Our long 3-year journey on Maybell culminates at the City Council Chambers on June 20, 2016 at 8:00pm, City Hall, 250 Hamilton Avenue, 1st Floor, Palo Alto. It is imperative that everybody shows up to this final hearing. THIS IS IT. We all remember the past high-density proposals on the Maybell site - first 75 homes, then 72, then 30, then 23 homes). If you don’t ever again want another high-density proposal on the site, we must speak-up now, our voice matters now, our presence at the City Council hearing matters now. WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW. Through Measure D, we resoundingly rejected mega development three years ago. This time, our neighborhood residents worked collaboratively with Golden Gate Homes to reduce housing density to 16 homes on the Maybell site in order to help mitigate traffic and circulation concerns. It's time to fully convince the City Council to approve the 16-home plan without any modifications on Monday June 20 at 8:00pm.
