There are many incidents of road rage in M'sia. The same can definitely happen, if it's on an elevated highway, where it's only 2 lanes, and traffic jams occur. It can cause severely untoward accidents to any persons.
The stress level is even higher when people pay tolls (assuming for 33kms, they pay 10RM one way, and incur jams of 1 hour or more). Is this what the rakyat wants? Also, what are the road transport authorities thinking?
Is this the way to go about for future transportation where people are continually stuck in road traffic gridlock in highways?
For e.g., the LDP, other larger highways, Smart Tunnels, all other inter-intra city highways have always been facing very heavy traffic even BEFORE Feb 2020 (i.e. before the days of the pandemic).
Discounting the fact that post pandemic road capacity is still feasible -- the city planners really have to plan for post 2022 traffic capacity and availability design right now.
