It’s just a second, but we had been waiting for it for ages. In the new Toy Story 4 movie there is a kid with a cochlear implant. A small but important symbol for all the people like me, wearing an implant, but in particular for all the implanted kids, that get such a special light in their eyes when they finally see someone like them on the big screen.  

And I think that this beautiful symbol for inclusion could be even more impactful if Pixar would sell a toy representing that character as part of the movie’s merchandise. That would not only help increase awareness of cochlear implants, but also help deaf children wear their implant with pride. A lot of mums and dads are already asking for it on social media.
